Is there a way to put connected sessions at the top?

This is not something supported unfortunately. Could you explain me why it's useful for you to change the order?

I have a large number of sessions saved, but usually I am only working on 4 or 5 servers at a time. However, these servers aren't necessarily going to start with the same letter, so I am always scrolling up and down the list when I switch between them.
I currently have sessions grouped by domain, and I know I could put subgroups under that, but there isn't really any sensible grouping I could make there.

I used to use RDPman, which would list connected machines, followed by unconnected ones (within each group), so I only had to scroll when connecting to a new server. It would really help to have that option in RDM.

I'm not sure how easy this will be but I have created a feature request for that (I know it look simple but the tree is not aware of the opened connection to execute the sort). In the meantime you can click View | Tab Groups and dock it somewhere else to view your opened connections.
