Hi,
We have a central automation system called ActiveBatch (https://www.advsyscon.com/), and we would like to kick off scripts / tasks from within RDM
Hello,
Do you know if they have an API/SDK? Also, how would you like this to be used in RDM? Would it work like the macros, for example the powershell macro?

They have two ways to access
REST API – which is a read-only API (it can’t create objects).
COM API, usable only from Windows, that has essentially full creation / deletion / administration ability for ActiveBatch.
This COM API can be used from things like PowerShell, VBScript, etc.
Hello,
It would be helpful if you could describe your ideal workflow from RDM, and how this would integrate with it, because I'm not sure to understand. The more information we have, the better we'll be able to see about adding this in RDM.

Hi,
Similar to Remote Powershell but with the added option of bringing up the list of Jobs/Tasks that Live in ActiveBatch, allowing you to pick them, pass the arguments if needed
Basically instead of writing the API calls to then call the Job, RDM can call the jobs via the API to ActiveBatch natively, see the results in the RDM GUI, etc
Thanks for the information. I've opened a ticket to look into integrating this.
