RDM - Right way of using the "Use multiple monitors for the remote session" RDP option
Hello,
I tried to figure this out empirically and using the documentation (in that order, of course :D), however I didn't manage to come to stable conclusion.
What I try to achieve:
Having 3 monitors (laptop + 2 external), I'd like to be able to establish an RDP connection using only the two external monitors while having the laptop one as "local". In Windows display settings I see that my external monitors are numbered as 2 and 3 (the laptop is marked as 1).
What I did so far:
I set up the session properties as seen on the screenshot attached. However, the RDP session only opens on my primary monitor. If I select from the "Use multiple monitors for the remote session" dropdown the option All (without any other options changed from what you see on the screenshot), I do get RDP to open on my three monitors.
All that being said, I would like to understand what is the right way of having RDP to open on several specific monitors of all the monitors currently plugged in to my local machine. I saw this question in the forum several times but nothing conclusive, so far.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Jonathan,
As always, thanks for the prompt reply! I will be able to test it in a couple of days and will come back to you. I guess it will suffice, since you’re proposing it.
Thanks again and regards!
