RDM - terminal session freeze application while cannot send command
Hi,
with the last release of RDM i have a problem with terminal session (telnet and ssh). If I have an open session and I drop the connection while I'm sending a command from the terminal, the whole application crashes and I can't even close it anymore except from the task manager. In the application event log the only event I read is: Type: ERROR Message: An error occurred while sending an opened connection event. Do you have any ideas about the origin of the problem? The version of RDM installed is 2021.1.23.0 but I had already encountered the problem with 2021.1.21.0. Thank you
Hello,
Could you send us your verbose logs (verbose 2) like explain in this article?

Hi,
as requested I attach the log. When the log stops it is because I have forcibly closed RDM from task manager
To reproduce the event I have:
- initiated the telnet session to the device
- disconnected the network cable simulating a disconnection
- attempted to send a command from the telnet console
log_verbose_telnet.log
Hi,
I have done some other tests and found that the problem seems to give it only with telnet sessions. SSH sessions are instantly closed as soon as the connection is lost
Thanks
Thank you for providing us the logs,
I will be contacting our engineering department with them so that they can investigate,
I will let you know once I receive news.
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Hello,
I just wanted to let you know that this issue should be resolved in RDM 2021.1.25.0. You can download this version of RDM from this link:

Let me know if this issue persists,
Best regards,
Samuel Dery
Hi, this morning I had checked for updates and saw that release 24 covered the reported error. I installed release 25 and tried it out, and it seems to me that everything is ok now. In the event of a broken connection, the window closes without locking the entire application. Thank you very much for your support and the speed with which the report was resolved
