Web session (chrome) loses web site settings after disconnect

I use Vmware VCSA html5 web client to access VCSA with an RDM web session based on Chrome.

Originally when I first started using RDM a few months ago, it worked just fine. In VCSA you can 'switch theme' to use a Dark Theme instead of the default. I much prefer the Dark Theme. The VCSA web client remembers your setting so that the next time you log in you start in Dark Theme if that is what you had selected. Additionally the VCSA web client remembers various things about your session and restores them - such as the VM you last had selected in the Hosts & Clusters tree.
Recently when starting a web session to the VCSA web client it now always starts with a completely default session. Dark Theme has gone and no state from the previous login is restored. Yes I can 'switch themes' again but frankly thats a damn nuisance to have to do every time you start a session.

I did some investigation and it seems that the VCSA web client stores the user settings in the browser's 'local storage'. Using Chrome outside of RDM the local storage persists and so sessions restore to the last used state on login, but using Chrome within RDM local storage is always empty when opening a new connection. Local storage is retained if I log out of VCSA and then log in again without closing the RDM tab, but if I close the tab then when opening the connection again local storage is empty so VCSA is back to defaults.

I think this might have started after an update to RDM although I cannot be certain.

If there is an option, or an entry setting I should check then please let me know. The only entry setting which I thought might be relevent is 'incognito' mode - but that is definitely not turned on.

I would be grateful if the original behaviour could be restored. It occurs to me that other web sites may have similar issues if they rely on the browser's local storage rather than cookies to save user data.

Kind Regards,

Kevin Heap.
