Hi,

when you try to copy something from say texteditor, and then paste it on the remote computer in say notepad, nothing happens

its also the same in reverse, copy something from say notepad on the remote computer and try pasting on local textedit or mac and it doesnt work?

this feature works no problem with the wayk client app, just not built into the RDM sadly :(

its the clipboard thats not working

Simon

Hi Simon,

I'll open a ticket. I'll get back in touch when I have more news.

Hi Simon,

We do not reproduce on our side. Is it happening in all of your sessions? Are you copy and pasting with shortcuts? Does it work with the contextual menu?

Hi Xavier,

its happening in ALL my waykclient sessions within RDM mac

also what contextual menu?

i have tried the following:

  1. right clicking a load of text in texteditor, clicking copy then right clicking in notepad on the remote windows session BUT paste in notepad is greyed out?
  2. clicking CMD+C after selecting text in texteditor, then CMD+P in notepad on the remote computer
  3. clicking CMD+C after selecting text in text editor, then CTRL+V in notepad on the remote computer

nothing is working copy+paste wise for any waykclient sessions using the embedded in RDM,

BUT the standalone waykclient app works no problem, copy+paste in fine

Hi Simon

The clipboard channel was never integrated into the RDM Mac embedded Wayk client.

Internally, we have a big effort right now to consolidate the Wayk Client code so it's more easily shared between the standalone Wayk Client and RDM, on all the different platforms. This should lead to something much more consistent in terms of what works in which product, on each platform.

Integrating these changes into RDM is a top priority for us. As usual, Windows will see the improvements first and then macOS afterwards. If it's looking like that is taking too long, we'll see what we can do to fix this in the current RDM Mac code base. I apologise for the inconvenience; for now the workaround is to use the standalone Wayk Client application. And please have some assurance that this is being worked on as part of a bigger picture. I'll post back in this thread with an update.

Thanks and kind regards,
