Edit > Parent command

Hi, I tried find documentation about this command, but dont found so much.

Some questions about parent/unparent feature:

  1. Some permission exists to allow other users use them? Or just adm?
  2. What the real purpose of this feature?
  3. When I make a TOTP child of a another credential entry (username/password) , when right click on TOTP entry and go to properties, it opens properties of parent entry (the username/password) entry. This is correct? I cannot edit the child?

Hello,

  1. so far as I know this is only available for Administrators (at the moment)
  2. this could be used in many ways - an example could be:
    1. Host entry (parent)
    2. Sub entry - Web Browser session (link to a website that are hosted on this server)
  3. honestly I never tried this before with a credential entry - but the behaviour is like you described - for me it looks like a bug
