Switch between RDP sessions using arrow keys in navigation pane

After a quick discussion with our engineering, they tell me that the behavior you describe is as intended. The feature that displays sessions when their entry is highlighted is only meant to work with mouse clicks, not with the arrow keys.

The reason for this is that if you were scrolling down your entry list with the arrow keys, each time you would highlight a running session, the focus would be shifted from the Navigation pane to the session as it gets displayed, so you would have to click back to your Navigation pane each time you want to scroll up or down again anyway.

Thank you for the information. And it's not possible to change this behavior? In the old Microsoft RDCMan I could do it and it was very comfortable to move between running sessions with the arrow keys, especially when you have an important number of machines.

Currently it's not possible to change this behavior but we'll open a ticket to see how we could change this. Something like switching the tab without giving it focus if you're navigating with the keyboard.

It would also be great to add to the keyboard shortcuts the arrow keys without combining with other keys.

It might be difficult to have it play well with our navigation and things like that but we'll see what we can do.
