FAIL_PROTCOCOL_ERROR

Hi,

I get the above error when I try to connect via SSH to a ESXi host using host template.
The template is very basic and only has $HOST$.

I attempt to connect to any host in the same vcenter (6.7) and it fails.
I attempt connect to any host in another vcenter (6.5) using the same template and it works without issue.
If I attempt to connect to a third set of hosts in another vcenter (6.7) it also works without issue!

If I quick connect to the host the session opens.
If I create blank template it also fails with the same connection message.

I know this worked in the past, so I don't know what has changed for it to no longer connect?

RDM version is Enterprise Edition 2020.3.28 64BIT

Google of the error message returns nothing!

Please help :(

Regards
Iain

Thanks
Iain

Thank you, by showing me how to enable the logs I worked out the credentials did not appear to be behaving. Not sure how or when but it appears all the entries for these hosts have had the credentials changed to inherited and were pointing to an incorrect entry.

Setting them back to the correct credentials fixed the issue.

Thanks
Iain
