We use often the export to HTML Feature.
If we set the rights on a user to allow exports, the context menu of the entry will have on "Export Special" the Options for only the selected entries and all entries from the Vault.
The difference betwen this two options is not really good. One of our users has accidentally exprted the whole vault with all data of others customers.

I think a better difference od there options or a option to set the rights for all or only selected entries were very usefull for a lot of MSP's.

Hello,
I think that we can improve this. Here some ideas we could do quickly:

  1. Add a warning/confirmation when we export the whole vault content
  2. Switch the order and move the Export Selection menus before the Export Vault
  3. We could add a data source setting to disable the Export Vault menus


What do you think?

All options sounds great.

Option 1 will probably solve the issue as the quickest option and will be ok for my.

For my perspective as an IT Manager, option 3 will be my preffered one to obtain the control of the data.

Option 2 makes from my perspective eiter way sense because i dont think someone have often the need to export all entries.


So, if possible i will be very happy to see option 3 or 1 in a future release :)

Hi Markus,

We have added a system setting to disable export vault menus and a related group policy internally. We also changed the order in the export selection menus. It should be available starting with version 2021.1.18.0

Hello,
i got an issue now. We have an RDM with DPS. My users are not able to export selected entries for some reason. Administrator has that option but for users those options are greyed out. Is there any way to enable export of selected entries to users ?
