In a VM, you can check a box to say the device is an Azure AD device. Can you add this same checkbox to a saved credential?
This would open up the ability to allow you to save an Azure AD saved credential vs a local credential.
For example today, if I have a local account saved with the Azure AD checkbox checked on the device I can't use it to log in. I have to uncheck the box and save it then use the saved credential to sign in.
Same goes with Azure AD credential. If I have an Azure AD credential saved and the box is not checked it won't login unless checked. So flipping back and forth can be difficult and by adding the above it would eliminate this.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
If I understand correctly, the fact of adding the "Azure AD Host" checkbox into a credential entry would allow you to create 2 credential entries, one for your local account and one for your Azure AD Credential. That way depending on which account you are using, you would be able to change the credential entry your RDP entry is pointing to, correct?
If that is correct, creating an RDP template with the "Azure AD Host" option checked could be a good way to achieve this. When you wish to connect with your Azure AD Account, simply right-click on your RDP entry and select Open with Parameters -> Open with a Template -> Select the RDP Template you created:
In doing so, your RDP connection will be launched as if the "Azure AD Host" option was checked.
To create your RDP Template, please refer to this link from our online help:

If I wanted to be able to double click an RDP entry and let it ask me a credential to use, then having the checkbox in the credential itself would then allow me to pick from an Azure AD credential or a local host credential.
Hello,
Does this mean that your RDP host supports the Azure login and the "local" log in at the same time?
Another possible solution would be to change the username format of your "Username/password" entry to:
.\AzureAD\USERNAME@DOMAIN
Please note that you will need to make sure that the dot at the beginning of the username is there, that the domain field is empty, and to replace "USERNAME" and "DOMAIN" with your values.
Let me know if that helps!

That works as a workaround for my Azure AD credential and then I unchecked the Azure AD box on the RDP server(s)
Thank you!
You are more than welcome! Thank you for trying this method.
