Every 2nd day or so RDM forgets my Devolutions login. Currently running version 2020.2.20.0 64 bit and it was doing this on an older version as well. Automatically sign in at startup is ticked within the Devolutions account setting however I found that it would do this whether this setting was selected or not. I work at a place that has a proxy so I don't know if that's contributing to it. If it were then it would be safe to assume that I would not be able to login to the Devolutions account at all while at work which is not the case as this is occurring intermittently.
My connection file is setup in such a way that I have my RDM files sorted into 3 folders for the 3 sites that I manage and I also have this issue where every time I edited and saved a connection file in the folder listed first alphabetically, that it would create another folder above it with the same name and moved the edited file into that folder. Makes no sense.
Cloud backups are nice to have but tools like this are supposed to make your job easier, not more frustrating and difficult. It would be nice to find a solution to these issues but I'm at the point where I've started moving back to another remote desktop manager tool because it's easier and I don't have time to keep troubleshooting this.
Hello,
Do you use RDM 2020.2 or 2020.3? If you are not using the latest version could you give it a try? Also just to be sure I can verify few things, what type of data source do you use?

David Hervieux
2020.2. I'll try updating to the latest version.
How do I check the type of data source?
Thanks
Hello,
You can go in File-> My Data Source Information

Hi,
Data source type is sqlite.
Thanks
Ok,
This means that the Devolutions Account is only used for the backup. You can disable the automatic cloud backup and do it manually. This should resolve your issue until we find why you are always disconnected.

Hello,
Our engineering department is investigating the issue. As a workaround for now, you could configure an application password on your RDM.
To do so, go in File -> Options -> Security and configure an application password.
