Mark settings as personal in a team based data source

There are probably many options where this could be useful, but for the VPN settings in the folders/sessions, the options are saved to the data source and seen by everyone, but with so many people working from home, often on non-standard setups, what works for one user may not work for the rest. It would be nice to have an option to mark settings, such as the VPN configuration, as personal so that everyone can configure or override the settings without it being written back to the shared data source. Perhaps an extension of the session in your user vault or local storage?

Hello David,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

In order to achieve what you are trying to do, I would recommend that you use the User Specific Settings feature. It will allow your users to override the configuration of the entry and use their own configuration without affecting the entries that are shared with the rest of your team. This change will only affect heir own user. For more information, please consult this link: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/edit_userspecificsettings.html

James,

Thanks for the link. That is helpful, however it does not allow for users to set their own unique VPN connections, only override credentials if they are used. So I guess I'd like to modify my request to add all of the VPN settings to the user specific settings.

Thanks.
