hi!
if the data source is configured to not always ask the password:
users are asked to enter their username and password upon connecting the DPS server:
an option to save these credential (in the data source setting) would be convenient.
however this option should not be available/disabled if "Always ask password" is checked.

Hello,
This should not be hard to add. Thank you for the suggestion.

Hello Guenther,
We are in the process of integrating this feature in RDM and would like to know a bit more about the behavior you want to achieve. Currently, if you leave the password blank and don't enable "Always ask password", it saves the password automatically in the data source settings. Is this not the workflow you were looking for?

hi Jonathan,
that would work - I think.
Doing "magic in the dark" (saving the password automatically) is nothing I would expect though.
The problem no longer exists for me as we now use O365 only.
For the users however it would be nice to have an option "save credentials" - as some still don't trust computers and retype their passwords every time - and only store the password if the user asks to do so.

Hello,
We've added a "Remember me" option to the DVLS login window. It will be included in our 2021.2 release.
