SSH algorithm not maching

avatar

Hello, I have an issue during the SSH connection to some our devices (ex. Cisco switches), after the last RDM update. When I try to connect with Putty, there aren't any issue.
I checked the algorithm and it's ok, I tried to follow this topic and I fix the error, but I notice if I connect to the same device with RDM SSH connection it uses the different algorithm than the Putty one. I attached the screen that show you better this issue.

I prefer to have a secure connection to my devices, can you help me please to fix this issue? I found it from the latest RDM version.

Hello Matteo,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

After having a discussion with our Engineering Department about this, they mentioned that you would need to uncheck aes128-ctr. Our SSH Shell integration uses the order of preference of algorithms of OpenSSH, so it may give different results than Putty. For the moment, we do not offer the possibility to choose the order of preference of the algos, it is only possible to activate/deactivate them.

Best regards,
