RDM: wrong support of italian keyboard in VNC, ARD but also RDP

avatar

Hi, I have a MAC with italian keyboard and I found these problems:

  • ARD/VNC: chars that need the Option button (e.g. @, #, etc.) cannot be used. You digit and nothing happens.
  • RDP: Connected to a Win2016 server, to digit \, you have to press <

Any suggestion to solve these issues?
Thx Francesco

Hi,

For ARD and VNC, we need to investigate the problem a bit. A ticket has been filled and sent about it.
For RDP can you try to change your keyboard type? Go into Preferences > User Interface > Keyboard and set the keyboard type at ISO and see if that solve the problem.

Yes, using last version, it solves!
(It does not solve the ARD/VNC issue, but you already know this).

Uhm.. I am using v. 2020.1.8.0 due to the ssh crash (there is another post for that) and in that version the keyboard functionality is not available..
Let me hope the crash will be soon solved!
Thx Michel

Hi,

Happy to have been able to help.
About the ARD/VNC issue we are going to keep informed, although I can't really give you an ETA for now.

Hi rigillo,

I know it's been a while, but are you still reproducing your keyboard issue with ARD/VNC? At first glance, I do not seem to have issues.
