Allow Users to move Entries from one Vault to another
0 vote
We mov unneeded credentials to a Archive Vault instead of deleting theme.
Because Users can not do this, they set the Entries as expired and i have to log in as administrator each month to move them to the archive.
Thank you for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, allowing this is not trivial. We only load the security context for a single vault at a time. This is why it is limited to admins since they have full rights on both vaults we don't need to check for move/add/edit/delete privileges.
I will enter a task to evaluate exactly what would be required to enable this feature. We might come to the conclusion that it's not so bad after all.

In my case it would be ok if there is no permission check on the target vault.
Maybe you can add a security setting "Allow users to move entries without security check to this Vault" to each vault.
Administrators can allow this behavior separately for each vault.
Hello,
It's a good idea. We will try to add a setting not recommended by default.

Hi David
That would be a nice feature.
Has this already been developed or deployed to the "Password Hub Business"?
Hello,
This feature is available in Password Hub Business. You can move via the web client or RDM. I suggest using the web client; it actually do a real move. Due to some limitations with our integration with RDM, the RDM move to vault operation does a copy + delete instead.
In the web client, you can use the "..." menu close to the edit to start the move operation.
You will then be prompted to choose a destination vault and folder.
In RDM, the option is available once you selected your entry in the main menu via Edit -> Move to vault.
Have a good day!
