Set entry expired after usage

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do so automatically. Once the credential entry has been used, you would need to set its status to "Expired" manually. To do so, you need to right-click on it and then go under - > Edit - > Status and select "Expired":

is there no way of automating this?
can it done by script and scheduler?

as users won't be able to edit those entries something like "if entry viewed do set status expired" would be enough for me

Our Engineering Department just informed me that this is something that could add in RDM.
