I was wondering if your team could look at adding a change log to your product.
Currently we have a spreadsheet embedded in your product that we use but it would be great if there was a way to do basic a change log
Something that could be searchable by device or host name, by date range etc.
I think the majority of the info needed would be
Date
Time
Tech
Hostname\function
Description
We use RDM as our management tool and since we added the spreadsheets my team is using them....now I just need it a bit more feature rich
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter! We have a feature that already seems similar to what you are looking for. I would be curious to know if this would do the trick for you.
The feature is the Entry History, which logs all changes made on a specific entry. This can be accessed by right-clicking an entry in the Navigation pane and going to View > Entry History.
A similar but more complete view of the entry history can be accessed from the Dashboard, After highlighting the session you wish to consult in the Navigation pane, in the Logs section, you will see pretty much the same information, including a few more details. This page also allows you to export a report of this entry history by clicking on the report button (circled in purple in my screenshot below)
Let me know if that's what you are looking for, or if the entry history/log is missing something compared to what you need.
Best regards,
Gabriel Degrandpré
It is very close.
I would like to be able to add a couple custom columns. So we could put a service type in ie Firewall, AD, ERP, etc
What would be awesome is if you could put the entry agaist the device with the right click but have the ability to search all the log entries from one spot.
That way if I wanted to know all the changes Justin made or all the changes made between 10am-noon I could see them.
If it was stored in SQL we could then run a query to display it on our NOC board.

Hello,
It's not possible to add custom columns inside our logs, but I would like to know where you are currently saving the service type information for your firewall as example?
What type of entry are you currently using for this?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Sorry for the delay
Currently we are using an embedded spreedsheet.
Hello,
I had a chat with our engineering department and we are not sure to understand your current workflow.
Is it possible for you to explain us your current workflow with some screenshots so that we can understand it properly?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hey Jeff
Im not sure screenshots would give a clear picture. If you are open to a 10-15min web meeting I can walk you though what I am looking for and how we do it today.
Charles
Hello,
Sending us a small video will do the trick as well. You can use this secure link to send us the file:
