Cannot connect to new Google Drive data source

Hi there,

I'm trying to use Google Drive as a data source for the first time and hoping someone can guide me in the right direction. I reviewed the documentation, but it's pretty light on specifics. As shown below, I've added my account credentials, successfully validated, and entered a master key. Yet, the data source still shows as "not connected" and Im not seeing anything created in Google Drive.

Is there a step Im missing here?

Thanks!

Hello,

We did a major rework for that in the Beta version of Remote Desktop Manager, would you be able to give it a try : https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/downloadenterprise#Beta

Perfect! While the setup was seemingly the exact same in the beta version, it connected on first try and I see the .xml in Drive.

The primary reason I want to use this is to access my connections across multiple PCs. Is there any documentation that describes how contention works? In other words, if I didnt shut down RDM on one PC, then opened it on another and updated connections, will it update successfully or is the file somehow "locked" when opened by an RDM instance?

Thanks again.

Hello,

We do not recommend making changes for a single user datasource on 2 different instances at the same time but it doesn't seem like this is what you want to do.
In any case, if you connect to the datasource on different computer the data will indeed sync. If it doesn't sync, you can simply refresh the Cache by performing a CTRL + F5 with focus on the Navigation pane.

Excellent. Appreciate the confirmation. This might be a dumb question, but I wanted to stick with a "GA" version and use this feature, should I just wait until I see Version 2020.3.6.0 or later officially released?

Hello,

It is at your convenience, we sadly do not have any ETA for the official release of 2020.3.x.x.
You can indeed wait for the release or go for the Beta in the meantime. I'm pretty confident that you won't have major issues using the Beta.
