Custom Tools

Hello,
As told by your support I would like to request a new feature. I would like to have Custom tools available in quick access.
EG : I would like to use Winscp directly with the info of a session from the navigation panel. >> Navigation panel > right click on a linux server > Macro/Script/Toold > My Custom Tool (like WinSCP) >> it starts the WinSCP tool with the IP/USer/Password in the session.
You can see it in a lot of free tool like MRemoteNG.
Custom Tool variable
- Name
- Path of the binaries/exe
- Command
- Hostname >> %hostname% retrieve the variable from the session entry
- Username >> %username% retrieve the variable from the session entry
- Password >> %password% retrieve the variable from the session entry

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
This could be achieved by creating a Template and then using the Open With Parameter -> Open Template option:
Since you have mentioned WinSCP as your example, I will do the same. To create a WinSCP Template, you will need to go under File -> Templates -> Template (Manage Templates)
-> Add Template (+) -> Session -> WinSCP.
Once it is created, you will be able select one of your entry from your Navigation Pane, right-click on it and use Open With Parameter -> Open Template -> Select your WinSCP Template.

Sorry for the late reply, indeed it's working as expected.
Thanks for your help.
Regardless of that, it seems more like a workarround than an easypeasy feature, like right click and shoot maybe my request could become a real feature request :)

Thank you for your return.
In that case, could you please try the following and see if it suits your needs:
1- Go under Edit -> New Entry -> Macro/Script/Tool -> Template (Macro/Script/Tool)
2- Use the Ellipsis button to select the "WinSCP Template you created:
3- Now, the new "Template (Macro/Script/Tool)" entry you created can now be found under the "Macros/Scripts/Tools" section of your Dashboard when you select one of your entries in your Navigation Pane:
4- This means that you can now easily select any entries from your Navigation Pane, go under the "Macros/Scripts/Tools" section of your Dashboard and apply the template to your connection without having to go under Open with Parameters -> Open with Template and selecting the Template you wish to use.
Please note that your WinSCP Template will need to have the option "Available in Macros/Scripts/Tools" checked in order for it to be shown in your Dashboard:
