Connection to SAP SQL Anywhere

We've been using RDM for years, and I'd like to be able to connect to our 200+ instances of SAP SQL Anywhere (https://www.sap.com/products/sql-anywhere.html). Would it be possible to request that you consider this for development?

There are a great many functions of their managment program "SQL Central," but it would be great to even be able to do queries against the remote DBs from RDM

Thanks!

Hello,

What kind of integration would you be looking for? Would it be embedding the SQL Anywhere tool inside RDM? And do you know if they have a command line tool or an API to integrate?

If it was possible to embed the tool, and let RDM manage the connection information (IP, user, pass, cert path), that would certainly work, and give us full functionality. The cleint download is here:

I am certainly not a developer, but if it was possible to roll your own lightweight tool with the API that gave us access to the tables and a SQL query interface that would also be great.

I found this for the API, please let me know if it is what you are looking for:

Here is what I found for the command-line utility, dbisql:

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for all of the information, we've opened an internal feature request ticket. We will really favor integrating the whole client in RDM (if possible), since as you said it would include all of the functionality, and is usually much faster for us to accomplish.

We'll update this thread if we need more information, or if there is progress on the integration.
