Hello,
primarily we browse through the tree to find objects, but sometimes a better search function would be nice.
Examnple:
Searching for a specific object "USV" within a folder/customer
If we use the search box on the lower left side of the screen, it filters all objects/customers/folders, so we
see a lot of objects over all customers
-> Some kind of easy context-search would be great
-> F.e.: Folder is highlighted in the tree view -> search inside the search box just searches on
this layer and not in the whole tree
-> So, selecting the "root" and do a search finds all objects in subfolders
Is there such an easy way?
I only know the way through the advanced search options, so here is my feature request.
If there already is a way, please feel free, to move this thread to "support"
Regards,
Daniel
Hello,
Thank you for the request. I don't believe there is currently a way to achieve what you want in RDM, so we'll open a feature request ticket.

Hello Hubert,
thank you for the feedback.
I'm looking forward for an implementation. It could improve findings in a well structurized Tree/Database a lot,
especially, if objects are allways named in the same manner/schema.

Daniel
Hello,
We've added a search option that will allow you to do this, it should be available in the next patch.
