Export RDM Logs via PowerShell

Hi,

since a customer wants us to generate automated reports (when was which user connected to their server), I wanted to ask if it is possible to generate the log outputs (CSV, HTML,...) via PowerShell?

Best Regards

Hello,

Sadly it is not possible to export the activity logs using the RDM PowerShell module.

As a workaround, you could try to export the Activity Logs report using the Export Report feature. Please see this online help page for more information about it.

Hello,

Are there any updates regarding this request ?

it is possible to generate the log outputs (CSV, HTML,...) via PowerShell and automate this process.

We would like to import the logs into our SIEM system.

Thanks,
Aman

Hello Aman,

Thank you for your request.

The RDM PowerShell module still doesn't have any cmdlet to gather the logs from the data source.

A ticket has been submitted to our engineering team. Once an update will be available, we will post it here.

Is there an estimate when this is coming?

Hello,

This is still on our todo list. I will ask our engineering team if they can bump up the priority of this request.

Thank you for your patience.

Hello,

For your information, you can now use the Export-RDMActivityLogsReport cmdlet to generate the report of activity logs of the current data source. This cmdlet is available in the latest RDM PowerShell module version 2022.3.1.0.
