We have recently started using a MSSQL database with integrated security (Active Directory). However, sometimes it happens that you are working from a PC which is not in the domain or is in the domain but cannot reach it due to restrictions of the VPN tunnel. In these cases it would be good to have a "normal" user (without domain) to log in. This is currently possible, but all personal changes, e.g. to the private vault, will be different between the two users. It would be good if you could link them and both logins point to the same "profile".
Hello,
It's a good idea but I have a question. Would it be simpler for you to have one AD user but with an alternate login password when the AD is not reachable?
This means that instead of duplicating the users, you would only have to configure an alternate password. What do you think?

As long as the authentication to the database is guaranteed, this would also be a possibility, because the integrated security is not available at this moment.
Thank you for the information.

It's finally here - thank you :-)
