i'm filling the data source, filling the license, everything is good
once i close the program, and re-open it, it's fresh again and i need to do it again
any ideas?
Hello,
The datasource, the license, the local configuration are saved inside a file name RemoteDesktopManager.cfg.
This file is located in the %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager folder.
Is this file exist on your workstation?
Do you have read/write access into this folder?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
yeah, i already made sure of that
Hello,
Is there some content in your RemoteDesktopManager.cfg ?
One thing that you can do it's to install Notepad++ , edit your RemoteDesktopManager.cfg with Notepad++ and watch if there's some information's disappearing when closing RDM, since Notepad++ will reload the file when closing RDM.

yes, it does. it scratches the entire config back to the default
i have no doubt that's the case, but i can't figure out the cause
if i take a good configuration file and plant it in the appdata folder, the second i open the rdm, it replaces the file (you can also see the size going down from 8kb to 3kb) and comes up "clean"
Hello,
We have seen this scenario when an antivirus delete the contain of the file or even the entire file.
Is there an antivirus on that workstation?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
we tried to remove it
further more, we now tried to reset the entire computer
after bootup, the first and only program we installed is rdm, and the same problem
never seen anything like this
we know that it's happening only in one specific computer
Hello,
Is there's a GPO that can manage/break something on this specific workstation?
If another user authenticate on this computer, does he encounter the same issue?
Is there something in Event Viewer?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
