ANDROID 2020.2.0.0 RDM RDP PROGRAMS Tab Alternate Shell and RemoteApp does not work unlike in Windows Desktop
Hi Everyone,
I had no problems of whatsoever with using the RDP Programs Tab Features in Windows Desktop with Remote Desktop Manager.
It can handle the 3 options like:
But my problem is, I would like to use those features on my Android 9 Tablet and Phone using the Remote Desktop Manager App.
The 3rd options works in Android but sometimes its a hit and miss cause by wrong spellings when run is executed (I wonder what cause it)
The number 1 and 2 never works and just simply run as a usual Windows RDP Desktop Connection without any errors or an app that I would like to run should appear.
I already made a lots of Configuration fiddling like copying the exact configuration from the PC to the Android but unfortunately , all attempts ends unsuccessful.
Could you help me with this? Help is greatly appreciated.
Hi,
#1 Is not implemented on Android. It is on our todo list and it should be part of the September/October release
#2 RemoteApps are out of scope. Android doesn't have the UI elements to support this (like the Unix X Window System).
#3 We will test it thoroughly and try to figure out why it is not always working.
Best Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
Hi Nicolas,
Thank you so much for that.
I'm excited for the next release.

Hi Sherwin,
For your third problem (Execute a program when login after a certain time), the spelling errors occur when windows is still in its initialization process when receiving the program name. To fix it, you can increase the “after login delay”.

Hi Sherwin,
#1, start a program on connection (alternate shell), has been implemented and will be part of the next release.
