We created a custom installer to use on our clients. I just installed this very custom installer on a terminal server and wanted to edit the default config file (RemoteDesktopManager.cfg) to not check for updates - so non-admins will not be prompted with the message that there is a new version of RDM which they cannot install.
Can anyone please point me to the location of the config file which gets copied to the appdata-folder of each user?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us on that matter!
Since RDM is installed on a Terminal Server, certain steps need to be followed in order for it to work properly for all of your users. For this reason, could you please confirm that you have installed the application following the steps listed here: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/installation_terminalservices.html
By default, the RemoteDesktopManager.cfg gets copied under their %appdata%/Devolutions/RemoteDesktopManager folder.
I hope this helps!
Best regards,
James Lafleur
thanks for pointing me to this very site. i got lost on https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/installation_allusers.html where the information (copying the cfg file to the program files) or a link back to the URL you posted would be helpful.
thanks again!
