RDM automaticaly fetch latest Backup

Are you using a local datasource on each of your 5 computers? If yes, it would be easier for you to use Online Drive as your datasource instead.
Online Drive will load your data from the internet at the opening of RDM to keep your sessions up to date.

I just switched to the new datasource (cloud) on all my devices, works perfectly.

BUT, on my iPad and iPhonei i can't start any sessions since i have the session recording configured on the datasource:



Is there a way to turn off session recording on for these devices (or for all mobile devices)?

Maybe make the session recording settings dependable on the devices OS?

I just had a chat with our engineering department and the session recording feature is not yet implemented on mobile. This is why you are not able to start the session.
It's on the ToDo list to implement the feature, but we cannot provide you any time line for the moment for it's delivery.

One of my colleagues proposed that you configured the recording feature to optional instead of required. By doing this, it should allow you to open your sessions on your mobile device.

if i set it to optional, then it would not record the sessions on the windows machines or ask me every time if i want to record or not.

Currently it's not possible but we will open a ticket to add an option "when available". When on platforms that support recording, it will do like "required", but when on platforms that don't support it, it will ignore the recording.

Just to let you know, the change for the session recording will be available starting with RDM 2020.3.0.0, which is planned to release this autumn.
In this version, there will be the new option "Required (when available)" that will act like "required" when on platforms that support session recording, and on platforms that don't support it, it will open without recording instead of preventing the opening.
