Connection to DB lost after standby, using WebDav

avatar

I am helping a friend who is using your Remote Desktop Manager software as a tryout. We have got the WebDav connection working, so that is great!

The only annoying thing is, everytime the computer goes into standby when it wakes up the connection to the db is gone. He has to reselect the db to reconnect it. Isn't there a way to auto reconnect after standby?

Thanks in advance! Program looks very nice :)

Hello,

If you perform a CTRL + F5, is it working? Is it reconnecting?

Thanks for your reply, but that doesn't work.

What works is pressing the three *** next to the active vault. Then i reselect the already selected Webdav vault and than the items reappear.

Hello,

I don't know if we will found something, but could you try enabling the logs on the datasource? To do so, go in File -> DataSources -> Edit -> Avanced tab and check Log enabled and Verbose. Don't forget to enter a proper path to save the logs.

Let us know of the results.

I cannot select "Log enabled" the option is greyed out.

Hello,

You would need to press the Pencil icon to get access to the options inside the datasource.

Thank you, i have enabled the log. But isn't it quit obvious what happens? Because the network adapter goes into sleep mode the connection to the DB is gone. Normally a program should reconnect by it self, but that doesn't seem to happen with RDM.

Hello,

Unfortunately, it's not the first issues that we encounter with WebDav datasource.

Maybe you can try to use Dropbox or Online Drive as your datasource and see if you encounter the same behavior using one of them.

Jeff that is too bad. The whole reason i have got a Nextcloud server is because i prefer not to use commercial cloud :)
But i sort of figured this was a not fixable problem, again too bad because the program works very good and looks nice.
