Hi,
I am currently trying to set up SSH tunnelling for multiple sessions and have read various guides on the subject. I seem to have more options than what are shown in the guides that I have read so wondered if there was an up to date guide anywhere? I am on the latest version.
My setup is I have OpenSSH running on a wintel box and I can SSH to that fine using putty for example. I would like to have an SSH Tunnel set up in RDM to this server, followed by multiple session types for different RDP sessions, different ssh/telnet sessions, web sessions etc all using this SSH Tunnel to proxy the traffic.
Any pointers etc greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Neil
Hi Neil,
I have partly what you are looking for. We have a nice feature call Secure Gateway which is working for RDP and Web Session. Soon we will add the feature for SSH.
Secure Gateway is explained at (https://devolutions.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/article/880181513?src=363819747) .
That said, the time we are adding the feature for SSH, you can use an SSH Dynamic Tunnel.
Out of curiosity with putty were you using a local tunnel with the target machine set manually?

Hi David,
That's brilliant, thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. Are there any plans to extend this to other connection types, I see you mentioned SSH. This functionality will help a lot as we access devices through firewalls using NAT and have many overlapping subnets that cause us pain. Having RDM proxy the session like this is a huge plus.
Kind regards,
Neil
Hi Neil,
We just release a beta version of RDM (2020.2.11.0) which include the Secure Gateway feature for SSH Shell.
That said, which other session type would you like to see with the Secure Gateway feature?
