I’m trying to configure an entry to launch an external URI (in this case, Jump Desktop) using the iPadOS RDM client. The only way I can see to do this is using a web browser entry, however I’m having some issues getting it working.
When I create a new connection entry and enter the URI as jump://etc, by default the internal browser opens and prepends http:// to the entry, which of course fails. When I set the connection to display externally, Safari opens but the colon is stripped and Safari fails to load “jump//etc”. However, from within the connection settings, if I click ‘navigate URL’, it correctly launches Jump Desktop.
It also doesn’t seem to be passing variables in the URI- I saw another thread on the forum where this was fixed in the desktop client but perhaps this needs to be fixed on the iOS/iPadOS client as well?
Is there some other way I’m missing to achieve this?
Thanks
Hello,
I moved your thread under the RDM iOS Support section.
Do you have the link of the other forum that you are referring to in your post?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Thank you for moving the thread - my bad!
Here is the link for the variables issue: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/32261/using-variables-in-website-url
Hi Richard,
Could you please send us an export of your web browser session ?

Here it is attached. (removed)
Thanks
Hi Richard,
A fix should be in the next release. We don't have Jump Desktop to test it but any url with "jump://" will be allowed.
