Shrew VPN Credential format not working

avatar

Hi,

I noticed a simple bug in RDM with Shrew VPN.
I've made a private credential with username, domain, and password.
When opening a Shrew VPN session the domain isn't entered in the username field, despite setting Properties -> Advanced -> Username format to "{User}@{Domain}".

Can this be fixed please?

Thanks,
Ben

Hello,
This should not be hard to fix. It seems that there is no field Domain in our Shrewsoft implementation. This explains why the username format is not handled.

Hi,

Correct. For a VPN that uses LDAP authentication a domain is simply provided using the "user@domain.com" format (or "domain.com\user").
Could this provided in the next update?

Thanks in advance!

Ben

Hello,

We've added the necessary to handle the Domain and we've also added a field for it. However we could not test it ourselves and we would appreciate if you could provide feedback on whether or not the feature is fully functional, both with the Username format to "{User}@{Domain}" or by simply using the added Domain field. This change should be available next version (2020.2.5 or higher).
