I have issues setting up an SSH-Tunnel entry to use it for multiple remote services.
In the settings section Session / SSH Tunnel / Outgoing Tunnel Settings, it does not allow me to save an empty "Remote host" entry. But from my understanding this field needs to be filled dynamically based on the Session that uses this SSH Tunnel.
Let me draw an example:
I have two RDP-Servers that are only reachable from the local network 192.168.1.0/24.
I want to add an SSH Tunnel configuration which holds the credentials and the host settings for the publicly reachable SSH server.
Then I want to add two RDP Sessions, one for each Server. Both Sessions should use the existing SSH Tunnel while populating the fields "Remote host" and "Remote Port" based on the RDP Session settings. The Local port should be picked randomly so that it is used for the RDP or HTTPS connection automatically.
How can I set this up?
Thank you very much for your support.
Andreas
Hello,
I think this should be feasible using this technique : https://devolutions.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/article/880181513?src=-1174330520
Let us know if this helps!

Dear Alexandre,
thank you very much, it does in fact work this way!
I won't call it super intuitive but it it does behave exactly how I want it to behave.
Only thing is that when I open a RDP session this way I get three tabs: One for the SSH tunnel, one for the Gateway and one for the RDP session itself. This gets really confusing when there are a few sessions open.
Also I can't find an option to decrease the ping timeout for the availability check and the waiting time for the SSH tunnel. So I have to wait roughly 12 seconds for the connection to be established.
But this is another topic and probably it is due to the fact that I use the Mac-Version which may behave different thant the windows version in this particular regards.
With kind regards
Andreas
Hello,
Thanks for the feedback, it's a fairly new feature, so it's not impossible that this might be improved, but I think the point 1.2 would technically hide the tabs you're refering to.
The delay can be reduced, as mentioned on point 2.4, please let me know if this helps.
Best regards,
