Support Private Vault Credentials with SSH Gateway (jump Host) connection setting

Hi,

Please support credentials contained in a users private vault via private vault search for the SSH Gateway (jump Host) setting of the SSH Connection.

Currently only

  • Custom Credentials
  • My Personal Credentials
  • Credential Repository

are available, but no Private Vault search. This makes it more complicated for users in a shared environment to configure their personal accounts when connecting to the target host (we are speaking of over a thousand hosts). Meaning all other connections are utilizing Credentials from their Private Vault including for example RDS Gateway (authentication to RDS Gateway = Step 1 and authenticating to Target = Step 2), but SSH does not.

I am directly speaking of the SSH Gateway feature of the SSH connection, not of tunneling other types of traffic through an SSH tunnel.

Note.: We know that an explicit SSH tunnel connection type supports the Private Vault, but requires you to explicitly define the remote host making it unpractical when having over a thousand different remote targets and is not required since the feature is built natively into SSH and we don't want to proxy any other kind of protocol through the SSH tunnel.

hello,
this feature has been implemented in the latest version but unfortunately they made it case sensitive. :(
would be good to fix this and make it case NON sensitive. We have many users who create the credential entry with the correct name but not always the same case

Hello,

Could you tell me what version you are using ? As far as I can tell it's already not case sensitive. Also if you could tell me the name of the entry you're trying to find and the value you're searching for, that could maybe send us in the right direction.

Thanks !

Hello,

It seems that the problem is simply that DPS isn't updated yet to support this. With the next update it should be working properly.
