I have setup in my lab an S3 compatible object storage (minIO). I have tried RDM native S3 explorer with custm url, but it crashes when opening.
Then I have configured CLI(external application) session pointing to my S3 Browser (www.s3browser.com). If I run it in External display mode it works as expected. If I run it in Embedded mode, the session is opened, but the S3 menu' and buttons doesn't work.
I'm working on RDM 2020.1.9.0 beta

Does RDM crash or the session crash? Do you have any information about the crash in Help - Application Logs.

Hello Etienne,
with integrated S3 explorer, the session is opened, but login to the storage fails with the error you can see in the attached screenshot.
The S3 Browser running in the embedded session has all the commands that don't work, while browsing the folders works.

Yes,I'm sure. Infact if Iaunched in external mode (not embedded), both applications (S3 browser and Explorer) are working. This address is a S3 server I'm using in my lab for other applications.

Hello,
attached the S3 Explorer logfile. It seems that it is unable to resolve the bucket hostname, on the S3 server there isn't any bucket hostname configured. The only way to access to it is via URL https://server_name:port (in my lab it is https://192.168.254.124:9000).
In the meantime I have updated my RDM to latest release 2020.1.15.0, but the issues remains (S3 Explorer doesn't works anyway, S3 Browser via cli command works in external window, but not in the embedded mode).

Hello,
Amazon seem to throw error (NameResolutionsFailure) so it doesn't seem like the error comes from Remote Desktop Manager. It could be an issue with the DNS.
The address show in the video is different from the one in your logs.
