I am using Remote Desktop Manager free edition. My question is about how to configure/store my credentials for the VPN I need to use to connect to my remote machines.
I've configured my VPN settings in the VPN/SSH/Gateway settings of my remote desktop entries. In the Settings tab of VPN settings, I choose my VPN name (Windows built-in VPN set up on my local machine), and enter my username/domain/password for connecting to it. However, in storing my credentials this way, one can simply click on the eyeball icon to view my password at anytime.
Is there a way to use the credentials already stored in my VPN settings at the Windows level so that my VPN password isn't visible like this?
Thanks,
Ben
Hello,
Since the Free edition is meant for one user, you cannot hide the password in the application. You can add some layer of security in File - Options - Security, like a 2FA, a application password or an automatic lock of RDM when you lock your Windows session.
