Terminal Services Console is slow to open

avatar

For servers at the other end of our WAN, the Terminal Services Console is slow to populate, and very slow if there is anyone connected. And our WAN isn't terribly slow or too far: 100 mbit/s with 23 ms of latency.

Can you please look at that code and see if there is a way to improve the performance? Also, it would be helpful to have an activity indicator so the user knows that it's doing something.

Hello,

What version of RDM are you running?

Is it possible to post a small video of the issue?

Best regards,

Jeff Dagenais

I'm running RDM Enterprise 2019.2.22.0 64-bit. I will try upgrading since there is a newer version available.

Still happens even after upgrading to 2019.2.24.0

Local servers display quickly, <1 second.
An idle remote server, 17 seconds.
A Remote Desktop Services server with 11 users connected, 44 seconds.

I sent you a video via private message.

Hello,

We were able to reproduce the behavior, I open an improvement ticket with the engineering department (RDMW-4447) for the time it takes to open over WAN.

Best regards,
