RDM: RDP Session - disable remote sound - just for my installation
Hello,
We have a blind colleague so we enabled remote sound for all remote sessions in RDM, so he can use RDM by himself.
Our problem is, that if we are going to use that session and ScreenReader is still active, we can hear the translation too.
Is there an option to disable remote sound for an RDM desktop installation (RDM options/settings) instead of all RDM sessions?
If it's missing, is this an idea for a request, or do you have another idea or a workaround?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Tobi
Hello,
I don't think there are any workaround for this at the moment, but we'll open a ticket to improve the "remote sound" feature. We'll probably add two things:
- Allow the option to be changed in user / local specific settings, so users can change it per-entry.
- Add a global option in File>Options, which will be a "default" for the entry. This means your entry can be set to this "default" value, and users will be able to change it once in File>Options and it will apply to all RDP entries with the "default" value set.
I think with these changes it should allow for this kind of workflow.
