I have a Microsoft SQL Server datasource. We provide service for our customers 24/7, so offline mode is necesarry so we don't need connection to the Datasource in order to work at night from home.
In the beginning we segmented our customers across different datasources to protect information from people who did not need to know this information. In this use case offline mode worked perfectly. The application is opened everyday so the offline mode was Always up to date.
From company standpoint we had to change to one datasource, so as provided by Devolutions we used the vault system. This works perfectly but the offline mode leaves something to be desired. Only the vaults used during the last 30 days (I set the limit at 30 days) are kept in the offline mode. But if a customer calls at night and it has been more then 30 days since the service engineer worked for this customer (ie. used the specific vault) then we have no access to his documentation. So my question can a functionality be developped that upon opening of the application the vaults to which the person is allowed be updated in the offline mode?
A devolutions engineer also told me that the offline cache only is updated when you request it online. Meaning with my 30 days setpoint, i could have old data in my offline cache if i didn't use that specific vault for 29 days. This also does not seem as desirable behaviour. In my opinion the offline mode should be synced across all vaults upon opening of the Remote Desktop Manager application.
Great idea, not easy to implement but a great idea.
As it stands now, RDM can only work with a single vault at a time. Some major work needs to be done there but we have a few other features/changes in the pipeline that will help make this possible one day.
I will add it to our to-do list and discuss it further internally.

Okay, great to hear. But keep up the good work, we have been using the product for a couple of years and are very happy with it. Also great product support! Very fast responses!
Another vote for this feature.
Our end-users noticed that entries/vaults are not consistently available when they use RDM in offline mode. They noticed folders or entries cannot be found when they use the multi-vault search. As fas as we know, there is no option to check beforehand which entries/vaults will be available in offline mode.
Maybe you can (also) implement a button to synchronize all vaults ?
(which will open all available vaults in the background to update the offline cache)
Best regards.
