ssh connections via proxy or jump host broken after upgrade to VERSION 2019.2.12.0 (free)

Hi to all,
this morning as notified from the popup, i've upgraded remote desktop manager free from 1.41 to 2.12.
After the upgrade, all the ssh connections through socks5 proxy or ssh jump host, stopped to work with a generic ssh error.

I've removed the 2.12 version e reinstalled the 1.41 and now these kind of ssh connections work again.

Do you have any idea why this issue happened ?

Thank you,
Regards.

Fabio.

Hello,

The latest Beta of RDM Free has been removed by our engineering department. For this reason, would it be possible for you to revert to RDM 2019.1.41 and see if this issue still occurs?

RDM 2019.1.41.0 can be downloaded using this link: https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmfreesetup

Hi,

One thing that has changed lately: target server address is now resolved by the jump host. Before, it was resolved by the client host, which was causing problems where the target server could not be resolved by the client's DNS because it was not visible from the client.

As for the SOCKS5 proxy, I am not aware of any changes and it is still working in our test environment. If possible, it would be great if you could send a log of the failing connections, this would help me diagnose your problems.

Regards.

Hi Denis,

for now i've downgraded to 2019.1.41.0 64 bit version and all work again. I know that now is available the new version 2019.2.14.0; i'll try it in the next days.

Thank you,
Regards

Fabio.
