Good morning all,

I updated my installation with the new version and now all my SSH connections that authenticate themselves via certificate require the user's password.

Hello,

The latest Beta of RDM Free has been removed by our engineering department. For this reason, would it be possible for you to revert to RDM 2019.1.41 and see if this issue still occurs?

RDM 2019.1.41.0 can be downloaded using this link: https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/thankyou/rdmfreesetup

Hi James,

I would like to avoid losing all my settings when uninstalling the tool. What can i save first?

Hello leo1980,

The configuration of your RDM application is kept under your %LocalAppData% -> Devolutions -> RemoteDesktopManager folder in the "RemoteDesktopManager.cfg" file. The fact of uninstalling RDM 2019.2.12, won't affect this location and your configuration will remain intact.

That said, creating a backup of this file is always recommended.

Ok, the rollback has worked. Thanks, James.

Hi,

I am a bit puzzled because it seems no changes has been made to certificate authentication with SSH. It is also currently working in our test environment. If you could send me the logs (with verbose) of the failing certificate authentication, it would be of great help for me to diagnose the problem.

Regards.

Hello,

you can find the logging settings in the Advanced tab - enable the Verbose setting and configure the logging parameters:

Thanks u too Min.

@Denis: in another installation the behavior didn't occur.

As soon as i can, i try to reinstall the update and collect the logs on the PC that has the problem.

Hi,

I am having the same issue as well in v2019.2.13.0.
Attached is the log files. It seems that the "RSA private key check failed" is happening.
The same key is able to be used to perform cert login using other client without issue.

On a side note, "SSH Port Forward" -> "Private Key" -> "Private Key type" -> "Data" is not able to delete or paste private key (no response when click).
Not too sure what is the error.
