Auto scrollback terminal upon keypress to command prompt

avatar

Is there a setting, similar to Putty, where when a key is pressed on the keyboard then scrollbar automatically scrolls back to the command prompt. I find when I scroll up in the terminal output, when I begin typing a new command, it does not automatically scroll down so I can view what I am typing therefore I have to go back to the mouse and scroll back down to see what I am doing.

This would be helpful in SSH and Telnet connections, or really in any terminal based connections.

Yes there is: in the property page of the SSH or telnet entry, go to the "Terminal" tab, the "Reset scroll on display" option. The "Default" or "True" value should give you the behaviour you expect.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

I can't find the terminal tab for Telnet. Is this something that does not work with Telnet?
