Tab coloring outline

Is it still possible to cover the tabs in the fashion show below, with the contrasting outline around the tab? Or was that a feature of an older version(s) of RDM?

Hello,
Honestly it's not simple. I can't just change the outline color. The third party use a template to modify the color but there is no custom paint. I tried to reproduce the contrast but they changed the way they calculate the color and I had no success. I will keep this in mind and check if I can do something better.
