RDM Telnet Delete Key and Password Prompt

RDM Telnet Delete Key and Password Prompt

avatar

I'm unable to use the delete key when I connect to a Telnet season, for example when I login and make a typo I cant simply use delete on the keyboard to delete my mistake, Also when I select a telnet season, after the latest update, I am welcomed with a dialog box that I have to X out every time, Its prompting me for a username, Cant see the point in this dreadful box, The username doesn't populate within the season. It seems meaningless

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We would like to know first of all about when this issue first started happening, and what version you were using previously before this happened.

During the time that we troubleshoot this issue with you, we probably have a temporary workaround that would allow you to continue to work.

To use this workaround, please go under File -> Options -> Terminal -> Under the Advanced section, check Use Legacy Terminal.
It is important to note that using this workaround will prevent you from using the new features that will soon be available with the Telnet entry type.

Now for the troubleshooting, our engineering department will need the following (make sure to disable the option mentioned above before creating your log).

From RDM instance would it be possible for you to go in the Properties of your Telnet entry under the "Advanced" tab (1) and check the following options:

1. Check "Verbose"
2. Check "Enable Logging"
3. Use the ellipsis to select a path to create your log
4. Make sure that your "Log Mode" is set to "Event"

Once this configuration has been made, try to launch the Telnet entry once more and send us the log which will be created.
I will then be able to assign this case to our engineering department in order to find the possible cause of this issue.

Best regards,

David Grandolfo
