After RDM update, can't find my saved logins

I had a really really old version (I've been ignoring the "new version available" notice for a long time).

Finally decided to update.

It downlaoded and mostly installed remotedesktopmanagerfree. I had trouble with the install, so I uninstalled it, using windows app uninstall (this machine is windows 7).
I then went to remotedesktopmanager.com and downloaded what I thought was the free version (I clicked download, then clicked on the download button under the "free" column)

This installed "remote desktop manager" (without the "free"), and it seems to have overwritten my really old version? Or maybe the free one did that? Regardless, I can't find my old version any more to run it.

I selected use devolutions registration during install, but it didn't seem to do anything, so I closed that window, then it asked me for the password for my datasource, which I thought was promising, but once I entered it, all I see now is "no enterprise license found" - when I click on "register product", same thing - selecting "use registration from devolutions cloud" and clicking OK does nothing. I just went to register for a trail of the enterprise version, on the website, in case that's all I needed, but I haven't gotten my serial number in my email yet (it's been about 10 minutes). Just tried a second time, in case I flubbed up my email address the first time.

I hope I haven't lost all my saved sessions and credentials! Can anybody help me figure out what I did wrong, and how to fix it?

And...I got a trial serial number in my email just moments after I sent the first message, and using that in the registration seems to have done the trick; I see my sessions and they're working. (whew!).

One more question, though; I've been using the free version all along, and I'm fine with that (I don't need the features of the enterprise version). Now that I'm on a trial version, when my 31 days are up, what will happen? Will it not work again? I'd really prefer to stay with the free version if possible, but I don't know if I've messed that up, now.

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

As I understand, you have installed RDM Enterprise, not RDM Free.

You can install RDM Free on your workstation by downloading it here
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/download

Now, regarding your datasource. It seems that you are using a SQLite data source, which is the default one. This means that you have a connections.db file located in %localappdata%\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager. I would suggest saving this file in somewhere else on your computer prior to the installation of RDM Free.
When this is done, go in File -> Data Sources and update your SQLite data source to point on the proper file located on your computer.

This should do the trick.

Best regards,

Thank you! Yes, that's exactly what I did; not sure HOW, but I must have gotten the enterprise version instead of the free, and your suggestions solved it.
