New Entry - Button disabled after last update to version 2019.1.39 (free edition)
After the last update to version 2019.1.39 the buttons to add a new entry are disabled.
The online help doesn´t tell me about conditions that would disable these buttons.
My existing entries are all existent and work, but I cannot add any new entry.
Is it a new feature of the free edition?
Thanks
Mike
Hello,
This is really strange.
What type of data source are you running?
Are you able to edit your entries?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi,
I have the same problem and I only noticed today!
tried to run "As Administrator", uninstalled and installed again but no luck.
Thanks,
Amr.
@amr,
What version of RDM Free are you running?
What type of data source are you using?
Have you tried to create a new data source to see if the issue was present in the new one as well?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi Jeff,
I'm using 2019.1.41.0 64-bit.
I created different data sources with different types but same issue.
Thanks,
Amr.
Hello,
Could you try RDM Free 2019.2.8.0? You can download it here
http://cdn2.devolutions.net/download/Setup.RemoteDesktopManagerFree.2019.2.8.0.exe
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi Jeff,
That didn't work either!
But, I deleted everything under this path:
C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Devolutions
And reopened the application and reentered my credentials, everything worked fine!
Thank you very much for the support.
Hope this helps others.
Thanks,
Amr.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Glad that is now working.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Interesting... seen the same behaviour with RDM 2019.2.24.0 Enterprise Edition, regardless of Datasources.
When the Edit or New entry buttons do not look disabled in anyway but they do NOT respond to a click.
If you clear out the appdata folder, restart the application, then connect to existing an SQL DB or to a new Local DB
all is good.
Bit odd.
@n10ct,
Is there a pattern/steps that you can provide us so that we can try to reproduce the exact same behavior?
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Unfortunately not, but we are about to roll it out across the country so will see if we get the same behaviour anywhere else and try to identify what causes it.
If it shows up again I'll post some info.
Hello, I just noticed same behavior and not sure what this cause is and I am using 2020.2.13.0 free version
Could you post a print screen of the main window?
Regards
David Hervieux
Glad I found this as it seems to be a common issue. Deleted appdata/local/devolution/ contents and copied back my db and it solved.
