When using navigation search an error appears sometimes:
NullReferenceException - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Pressing Ctrl+F5 in the navigation doesn't help. The same error appears as well.
Usually this error appears in the morning when we have just reconnected our Citrix Desktop from the day before (where we left RDM open). Only in rare cases this happens during the day as well.
We are using an MS SQL data source (availability group) with integrated security (AD).
Is there anything I can look out for to track down this issue? Or is this a known issue by chance?
(Btw: I've clicked "send error report" around 08:05 CEST and have provided my name and company if you need details.)

Hello,
Could you try RDM 2019.1.38.0? You can download it here
https://remotedesktopmanager.com/home/download
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
We've updated RDM to 2019.1.38.0. Our testgroup (3 users) couldn't see the error anymore. We will roll out the new version soon, test for a week and provide feedback afterwards.
Just had the issue again. The error appeared when I started typing in the nav search after the first character.

Hello,
Could you post a small video that demonstrate how to reproduce this error message?
We would like to reproduce it internally.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Unfortunately I can't reproduce the issue.
The possibility of the issue to happen is bigger, if we leave RDM idle. Usually overnight. But today I left the office at 5pm and continued working 1-2h later. So I reconnected my Citrix Session, started to type in the hostname and voilà.
I then close and reoppen RDM and can continue my work.
Hello,
I had a chat with our engineering department and it seems that the error occurs because some variables could not be resolved.
A ticket has been opened regarding this. The ticket number is RDMW-3316.
A fix should be available in RDM 2019.1.40.0.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Splendid, thank you very much!
Unfortunately with 2019.1.41 the error still pops up sometime. What do you need so you can debug it further?
Hello,
Is it possible to try RDM 2019.2.9.0?

Please note that if you are using an Advanced Data Source like SQL Server or SQL Azure as example, a database upgrade is required.
https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/database_upgrade.htm
Installing this version as a portable with a local data source is also possible to perform the test
