Restrict password settings

Greetings,

We're currently running Remote Desktop Manager Enterprise Edition, version 2019.1.21.0 64-bit.

We've got several RDP sessions configured with generic usernames and passwords.

We need to be able to restrict the 'View Password' and 'Copy Password' functions. We can't have users able to see what these passwords are, or have the ability to copy, modify, add, or delete them due to the sensitive nature of them. We'd rather not have to stand up a MySQL instance to achieve this.

What would the best course of action be?

Thanks.

Hello,

The best course of action would be to use an Advanced Data Source along with the Role Based Security System to restrict the "view Password" and Copy Passwords" functions for your users. More information on that matter can be found here: https://help.remotedesktopmanager.com/securitysystem.htm

As for the Advanced Data Sources, a list of those supported in RDM Enterprise can be found below:

Best regards,

James Lafleur
