Ubuntu version of RDM

Hello,

We are wanting to know here at Dell if there are plans to build a version of RDM to run on Linux, specifically Ubuntu. If so, when will it be available? If not, would you consider a build for Ubuntu or other Linux desktop distros?

Just noticed that there have been requests to run this native on Ubuntu instead of having to work around using Android. We have tried this and so far, this is unsuccessful and probably won't work for the following reasons:

the Android route isn't an option for us for these reasons. The other problem is, even if there was a native Ubuntu option, it still probably wouldn't work for us unless we changed our scripting to Python, which may or may not allow us to build the same GUIs we have built using PowerShell and Winforms.

The main reason we are even considering this is so that we can conserve resources, reduce licensing requirements, and have a stable platform to use for connecting to our training solutions.

Hello,
We don't have any short term plan for RDM Linux. Like I mentioned in a post, it's a huge task and the biggest problem is the expectation. Exactly like your post, people will ask for some advanced feature (AD, PowerShell...) and they will always be disappointed by the current RDM Linux development state. We will always by trying to catch up the other platform. We are experimenting Linux with Devolutions Launcher and we could try to do an RDM version in 2020 with some basic connection features.
